Goodbye to Christina, Luke, and baby Jude!

One of Max's BFFs, Jude, will be moving to Tanzania in the fall for his daddy's job, so we hosted a get together to say goodbye and let the boys stare at each other one last time. Christina (along with Anne (and baby Ari), Tracey (and baby Ellie), and Chrystal (and big boy Townes) have been a great source of support and friendship to me throughout my pregnancy and Max's newborn stage. I'm so lucky to have these ladies as friends! We will miss you, Christina, Luke, and Jude!!

Max's dedication at Artisan Church

Here are some pics from Max's dedication at our church, Artisan. His Catholic baptism date is still TBD. It was lovely ceremony, and I was so proud of him for not pooping/peeing/puking on the pastor!

Visit from Josh and Alex- fun at the Strong!

Max's godfather Josh and his partner Alex visited us this weekend for Max's dedication ceremony at Artisan Church on Sunday (8/12/12). We were super busy for much of the time they were here, but Max was very into all the excitement and stimulation and seemed to enjoy most of the activities we lugged him to! He crashed after they left yesterday, though, and took a 3.5 hour nap in the afternoon. Today he's a little cranky, presumably because he misses Alex speaking Japanese to him, and Josh doing anything to make him smile!

This museum rocks!

Chilling with my BFF

Max and I got to hang with Renee and Elijah yesterday since both mommies needed a coffee and frozen yogurt fix. Obviously by previous arrangement, both babies started crying (with joy?) immediately upon seeing each other. This worked them up so much, that they both then needed poopy diaper changes as well! Things calmed down though once Eli realized that Max wasn't going to steal his Bumbo chair, and the boys were able to wiggle peacefully next to one another until naptime.

Weekend update!

We had a great weekend, as Daddy was off for most of it and we got to spent time with some out of town friends (Robin and Kevin) who we haven't seen in four years! Despite having friends in town, and a picnic for the new resident's spouses, we still got lots of Olympic watching time in while relaxing on the couch. I have dreams that Max will be a swimmer, while Tony would prefer archer, but whatever Olympic sport he excels at, I'm sure we'll be proud! (As long as he wins gold, not silver.. :).

Sleeping through the night

Max broke a new sleeping record last night! We had friends over for dinner, so he was up a little late enjoying the festivities (i.e., laying in the Peapod and wiggling on the deck), and he finally went down around 9pm. He then slept until 5 am, was up until 6, then slept again until 10:30! Best baby ever! Now I'm disoriented because its 11:30am and I just finished my breakfast!

Smart baby!

Woooo!!!
